Meta Presents Ability To Create AI Characters On WhatsApp

JAKARTA Meta launched the ability to create AI Characters or AIs on WhatsApp. With this added capability, users can now create chatbot characters according to their wishes.

AIs has been available on all Meta platforms for a long time, from Instagram, Facebook, to Messenger. WhatsApp also gets the feature, but with capabilities that are still very limited.

Until a few weeks ago, users could only use Meta's built-in chatbot. There is no option to create a new character because AI Studio has not been fully integrated into the messaging platform.

Now, the AI Studio page on WhatsApp has changed. When opening the page, users will see an added sign in the upper right corner of the screen. If taped, WhatsApp will display information about the creation of AIs.

If users agree with how AI works on WhatsApp, they can tap on the continued button and start creating the desired character. On the initial creation page, users will be asked to enter the AIs description.

Furthermore, users are asked to complement the personality of the characters they create, including the photos they want to add. Users can also choose their AI conversation tones, design avatars using Meta AI, and much more.

After the creation process is complete, the created AI character can be used. Users will see the option to share AI with the public. If you don't want to share, WhatsApp users can keep reddening the chatbot accounts they have created.

To open the AI Studio page, you need to open the Meta AI chat room first. In the upper right corner, you will see the box four icon that will direct you to the AI Studio page.

This AIs creation feature is still rolling out in stages so that a number of users may not see the feature. Make sure that the WhatsApp version you are using is the latest so you don't miss the feature.
