JAKARTA - Meta Platforms Inc. is reportedly targeting to allow brands to fully create and target advertising using its artificial intelligence (AI) technology no later than the end of next year. This was disclosed in a Wall Street Journal (WSJ) report on Monday, June 2, citing sources familiar with the plan.
The parent company from Facebook and Instagram is known to have 3.43 billion unique active users globally. Meta's AI tool has helped in creating various personalized ad variations, automatic image background, and automatic customization of video ads. This makes it very attractive to advertisers.
According to the WSJ report, later a brand will simply provide product and budget images, then AI Meta will produce ads automatically, including images, videos, and text. Furthermore, the system will determine the targeting of users on Instagram and Facebook, as well as provide optimal budget advice.
Meta also plans to allow advertisers to personalize ads using AI, so users can see different versions of real-time same ads based on factors such as geographic locations.
Meta, whose revenue is mostly from advertising sales, has yet to respond to requests for comment from the media.
