JAKARTA PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) continues to innovate in increasing customer comfort and security through its digital ticket booking application, Access by KAI. Now, the application presents a special feature for women to choose seats that are exclusively intended for women when booking tickets.

"We will continue to develop innovations to provide the best service for the community," said KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager, Ixfan Hendriwintoko, in Jakarta, Saturday, May 24.

This feature is expected to create a safer and more comfortable travel experience, especially for female passengers. Not only that, the Access by KAI application also supports digital payments and electronic tickets without the need to print physical tickets, in line with efficiency and environmentally friendly efforts.

In addition, Access by KAI is now equipped with facial recognition technology at 21 main stations. With this feature, passengers simply scan the face at the station entrance, and the system will automatically match the data to open the gate without the need to show physical documents.

This application also provides information on the estimated carbon emissions (CO2) from passenger travel and compares them with other modes of transportation, as a form of commitment to environmental sustainability.

Ixfan revealed that until now, the Access by KAI application has been downloaded more than 29 million times. Ordering tickets through the application and the official booking.kai.id website also guarantees data security and ease of transactions.

"This digital transformation is part of KAI's commitment to responding to people's needs for modern, efficient, and sustainable transportation services," concluded Ixfan.
