JAKARTA TikTok introduces creative features that can convert immersive photos into Immersive videos. This new feature, named AI Alive, will be added to the Stories upload feature.
AI Alive is specially designed for creators who want to share a short animation of their photos. That way, creators can share their inspiring or entertaining stories with a more visually interesting look.
This feature is available in Story Camera and can be used to create any moving photo, whether a living object or not. For example, if a creator has a sunset photo, they can turn their photo into a cinematic clip when the sky's color changes slowly.
AI Alive also works on human photos. Creators can revive photos that they perpetuate with friends or family to become more lively. AI Alive will highlight subtle movements and expressions in order to reduce the impression of AI.
"We are delighted to see how creators use AI Alive to increase storytelling, share authentic moments, and inspire creativity throughout the TikTok community," TikTok said in a statement.

TikTok realizes that AI features are vulnerable to misuse. Therefore, the content moderation system will review any photos uploaded by creators. This is done to prevent content creation that violates TikTok's policies.
TikTok also added a video report feature for AI Alive. That way, if you see someone using AI Alive to turn on indecent images, the photo can be reported to be withdrawn from the system.
