BSSN Encourages Cross-Sector Synergy To Realize National Cyber Resilience

JAKARTA - At the Coordination Meeting of the Vital Information Infrastructure Electronic System Operators, the head of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) Nugroho Sulistyo Budi emphasized the importance of cross-sector coordination in realizing national cyber security.

Vital Information Infrastructure (IIV) is a very important electronic system for strategic sectors such as energy, finance, and transportation. According to Nugroho, if there is a disruption to this system, it can certainly have a major impact on society and the economy.

All stakeholders need to synergize and are committed to accelerating the formation of a Cyber Incident Response Team (TTIS) in their respective agencies. BSSN will continue to assist in this acceleration effort," said Nugroho.

Tak hanya itu, Nugroho pun tuurt menekankan bahwa agenda prioritas pemerintah, termasuk operasionalisasi Government Technology (GovTech), program Data Tunggal Sosial Ekonomi Nasional (DTSEN) dan program lainnya akan sangat bergantung dengan transformasi digital yang aman.

"The thing that is urgent in this forum is that let's together have a commitment to increase awareness and capacity of the vital information infrastructure we have," he said.

In addition, this meeting also discussed the latest cybersecurity threats, including lessons from cases of temporary National Data Center (PDNS) disturbances and ransomware attacks at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

Nugroho hopes that the coordination meeting can produce policy recommendations and accelerate efforts to secure the national electronic system in a sustainable manner.
