Google Launches Many AI Features For Workspace, Can Change Documents To Audio

JAKARTA - Google announced several new artificial intelligence (AI)-based features to increase the productivity of Workspace users such as Docs, Sheets, Chat, to Vids.

Announced at the Google Cloud Next 2025 event, one of the most striking features in this update is audio capabilities in Google Docs.

With this feature, users can convert their documents into a complete audio version or select podcast-style summarys to highlight important parts of the document.

"You can create a complete audio version of your document or select podcast-style summarys for important things," Google wrote in an announcement on its official blog.

In addition, Google Docs also added a new AI writing aid called "Help me reference". This feature allows users to perfect their writing with AI assistance directly in the document.

Meanwhile, the Vids platform is now backed by Veo 2, Google's latest image-generative AI model that allows the creation of visual content to become more sophisticated.

For Google Sheets, Google added a new AI experience that can analyze data automatically and display important insights quickly.

Lastly, Google also introduced Google Workspace Flows, which is designed to get rid of recurring work and simplify day-to-day operational processes.
