XL Axiata Legowo Although Failed To Get A Frequency Of 2.3 GHz

JAKARTA - PT XL Axiata Tbk agreed with the decision of the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo), because it did not pass the 2.3 GHz frequency band auction selection. XL is committed to continuously improving the quality of its services for the community.

XL will also continue its commitment to the government to build data networks to remote areas outside Java. Especially rural areas where the internet is not yet accessible at all.

Previously it was proclaimed, the Ministry of Communication and Information had announced the auction results for the 2.3GHz frequency. The mobile operators that managed to win were Telkomsel and Smartfren, while XL had to go home empty-handed.

Currently Telkomsel operates in the 850 MHz, 900 Mhz, 1.8 GHz, 2.1 GHz and 2.3 GHz frequency bands, while Smartfren only operates in the 2.3 GHz band. With the addition of the 10 Mhz frequency block, the two cellular operators are preparing to review 5G services.
