WhatsApp Fixs Media Download Bugs, But Instead Launches New Issues

JAKARTA Like digital platforms in general, WhatsApp has a beta version of the application for leading developers or users. If you use this version, users will receive a new feature earlier.

The reason is, beta is part of the test before its feature is released to the public. Therefore, the features tested can be problematic because they are not yet stable. Usually, WhatsApp beta users will find some bugs, but do not damage the device.

Recently, WhatsApp launched the beta 2.25.58 version to test the redesigned call menu. In that version, WhatsApp replaces the Voice Call and Video Call button with the select button for people to avoid accidental group calls.

However, this version also brings bugs that cause users to fail to download the media. Some users, according to WABetaInfo's findings, reported that they could not download photos, videos, voice records, GIFs, and documents.

Whenever you try to download, the user will see a pop-up message that reads, "Missing failed. Downloads cannot be completed. Please try again later." This doesn't happen because of the network, but a bug that interferes with the user's experience.

Shortly after the problem emerged, WhatsApp brought improvements in the beta version 2.25.5.16. With the emergence of the scattered version, users can download the media, but WhatsApp actually adds a new bug.

When a user tries to send a sticker, a new bug on WhatsApp beta will prevent it. This problem is not too complained about because some users may not think stickers are important. However, some users say the problem still exists in version 2.25.5.17.
