Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Officially Released, Take A Peek At Performance And Price

JAKARTA Samsung officially launched the Galaxy S25 series globally, including in Indonesia, on Thursday, January 23. This device comes in three models, namely the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, Galaxy S25 Ultra.

This year, Samsung is still focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, but with more seamless capabilities. The South Korean company also added that many minor changes are claimed to affect the user's experience.

Verry Octavianus, MX Product Marketing Senior Manager of Samsung Electronics Indonesia, said that the Galaxy S25 series has several differences with the previous generation. Apart from its more curved design, its performance is also better.

The Galaxy S25 series uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite which makes the AI experience stronger to better power efficiency. This processor also increases NPU by 40 percent, CPU by 37 percent, and GPU by 37 percent over the previous generation.

In addition, the Galaxy S25 series camera has also experienced a slight increase. The tele and main cameras on this latest cellphone are still the same as the S24 series, namely 50MP and 200MP, respectively. The most visible increase this year is the ultra-wide camera which is 50MP.

"Many asked, last (ultra-wide camera) how many? 12MP," said Verry at the Galaxy Unpacked Media Session on Thursday, January 23. "We take a detailed picture, the color is much more optimal (for now ultra-wide). This will be very visible if we watch experience for example concerts."

In addition to the upgraded camera, Samsung also added a number of new features. One of them is the AI-backed Best Faces. With this feature, users of the Galaxy S25 series can avoid poor image results and fix it quickly.

In addition, there is also the Noise Reduction feature with Spato-Tempural Filter (STF) support that removes interference in the image year. Users can also remove annoying audio in their videos with the Audio Eraser feature.

This feature is able to eliminate or highlight six kinds of sounds, namely speakers, music, wind, noise, crowds, and vehicles. This AI-based feature can be used even if the user does not have or activate the data connection.

Another significant improvement is the security of more protected data. Thanks to the personal use of engine data, all user data, including those in the Gallery, will be more protected. Samsung develops special security that is difficult to break into.

"Samsung's system cannot be broken into. Unless the cellphone is lost, and the password is caught, then it will be exposed," explained Verry. "Likewise in terms of off-clouds and also on-device, we use post-quantum cryptography technology."

The standard Galaxy S25 and Plus come in three colors, namely Blueblack, Coraled, and Pinkgold. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 Ultra comes in three more diverse colors, including Titanium Pinkgold, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Jadegreen.

For the price, the Galaxy S25 series has increased by one million compared to the previous generation. The Galaxy S25 is priced at IDR 14.9 million, the S25 Plus is priced at IDR 17.9 million, and the S25 Ultra is priced at IDR 22.9 million.
