Google Admits Continues To Develop Gemini To Result In More Natural Conversations

JAKARTA Gemini continues to compete with other Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based chatbot platforms, such as ChatGPT, Claude, and others. In fact, Google is trying to improve the performance of the chatbot.

Currently, Gemini can build a natural conversation. However, when compared to ChatGPT, Gemini has not been able to produce conversations like friends, provide jokes that match everyday life, and others.

However, Gemini Product Leader Googl, Jules Walter told VOI that it is trying to continue developing the chatbot platform. This increase was not only made for text conversations, but also conversations on LIVE.

"Yes, this is something we are constantly doing, which is how we can change Gemini's tone and style to help people in various countries," Jules said.

The Gemini maker explains that they continue to receive feedback from their users. "And because we continue to update new models, you'll see that this is getting more and more often discussed. So, that's something we're constantly working on."

Google Indonesia Communications Manager Feliciana Wienathan added that Gemini is now available in 40 languages, including Indonesian, and this is important for Gemini.

According to Feliciana, presenting native language support in various countries can better support users' needs. Instead of presenting a more conventional language or like ordinary humans, a combination of local and natural languages is more important.

"I think this is one way that we can make it more relevant. Locally relevant. Because with the 40 languages in the world, I hope this is more relevant, more useful, more accurate," said Felicia.

Google is also trying to promote its AI chatbot through the Gemini Master Challenge event which was held at the Bloc Post on Thursday, December 5. At this event, a number of participants appeared by utilizing the Gemini platform such as making songs, making costume performance ideas, or making joke ideas.

During the event, Google showed that Gemini was able to have conversations through the LIVE feature, both in English and Indonesian. Imagen 3 is also integrated with this chatbot platform so that users can create AI-based images, but this feature is only available for paid users.
