Amazon CEO Andy Jassy explained that Nova's model development was driven by a developer's demand for lower latency, cheaper costs, and special adjustment capabilities. "They want better latency, lower cost, and the ability to do fine-tuning," said Jassy.
Rohit Prasad, head of Amazon's division of artificial intelligence, added that Nova will offer higher speeds at competitive prices. "If I have something better, customers will come and use it," he said in an interview.
One of the features that caught the most attention was "Nova Reel," a software that allows the creation of six-second videos from one image or text. In the coming months, users will also be able to create videos for up to two minutes. Prasad also emphasized the importance of watermarking to prevent misuse and spread of harmful content.
