Reku Officially Obtains License As A Physical Crypto Asset Trader From CoFTRA

JAKARTA - Reku announced that they had succeeded in obtaining a license as Physical Crypto Asset Traders (PFAK) from the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (CoFTRA).

This license is stipulated in the CoFTRA Regulation Number 13 of 2022 concerning amendments to the CoFTRA Regulation Number 8 of 2021 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Physical Market Trading of Crypto Assets on the Futures Exchange.

Robby as Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) Reku expressed his appreciation for the support from CoFTRA and all parties involved in this licensing process.

"The issuance of PFAK for Reku is not only an important achievement for us to support crypto asset regulations in Indonesia, but also as optimism in encouraging the advancement of a safe, transparent and sustainable crypto industry," Robby said in his official statement on Tuesday, December 3.

Robby also said that this PFAK licensing also encourages companies to continue to develop service innovations that can increase public interest in investing in crypto assets.

According to him, currently, Reku is also preparing a number of services that can encourage public interest in crypto assets. In addition, literacy and education efforts also continue by cooperating with various stakeholders, ranging from regulators, communities, financial and investment activists, as well as universities.

"Hopefully, this can also be a catalyst for the growth of the crypto asset industry in Indonesia in the future," explained Robby.

The head of CoFTRA, Kasan, emphasized that with the issuance of a permit as a Physical Crypto Asset Trader (PFAK) to Reku, it is hoped that there will be more various innovations that will be carried out in order to encourage the growth of the crypto industry in Indonesia.

"CoFTRA ensures that only companies that meet the standards and requirements in the CoFTRA Regulation can operate in the trading of Crypto Assets as PFAK. Appreciation to Reku continues to be cooperative and shows commitment in fulfilling these standards and requirements," concluded Kasan.
