WhatsApp is Testing Channel Sharing Feature with QR Codes

JAKARTA – WhatsApp has launched the ability to view and share channels on its platform using QR codes. Initially, this feature was released for several testers, but is now available in the beta version.

Based on WABetaInfo's findings, this new feature is available in WhatsApp beta version 24.24.10.76. Previously, the ability to share QR codes for this channel was only available in the beta version of the application for Android, but now the feature has been expanded to the iOS beta version.

With this new feature, channel owners have more options to share channels. They can use links as usual or unique QR codes. This code can be created directly in the application and can be saved or even printed offline.

To create a QR code, channel owners can open the info screen, then look for the share option. After that, users will see the option to create a QR code. Once created, there is a small icon at the top of the screen to share the QR code that has been created.

This is a great feature for a number of businesses. If they often share exclusive offers through WhatsApp channels or often share important information, creating QR codes will be a very important tool in attracting more users.

Currently, the ability to view and share channels in the form of QR codes is only available to beta testers who install the latest version of WhatsApp beta using the TestFlight application. This feature will be released to more users in the coming days.

Although this feature is already available on iOS and Android, it is not yet known whether WhatsApp will release its feature on the desktop version. It is possible that this feature will also be tested and released in a stable version for WhatsApp application users on Windows-based desktops.
