JAKARTA Searces, a modern technology consulting firm, discussed trends to obstacles from the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This discussion was released in a report entitled State of AI 2024.

The Searce findings show that the implementation of AI did not run smoothly in a number of companies. About 42 percent of respondents revealed that the AI initiative implemented by their company was "unproductive", but the budget for AI adoption continued to increase.

In addition to the problem of increasing costs, a number of companies also faced data privacy problems during adopting the AI initiative. About 45 percent of respondents stated that data privacy is an obstacle they often face.

This percentage occupies the highest position, beating barriers to the use of old technology and the lack of quality resources. According to Benedikta Satya, the company must first identify limitations to deal with obstacles to implementing AI in the future.

"To get the success of AI implementation, an organization must first identify and mitigate existing limitations so that they can have the most optimal adoption path," said Bene. "It is important for an organization to find partners who can help them."

The next finding shows the trend of using AI. Currently, the use of Generative AI (GenAI) is a priority. About 70 percent of respondents revealed that they have three minimum projects that use GenAI in production.

From the results of this study, it was found that 60 percent of respondents used GenAI to support customer services, 60 percent of respondents used GenAI to conduct internal research, and 53 percent of respondents used GenAI for content creation.
