Apple Starts To Provide Substitute Parts For IPhone 16 Repairs

JAKARTA Apple now provides replacement parts for repair of the iPhone 16 line in the US and several other countries. This allows users to repair their own iPhones. This step continues Apple's policy since 2022 which supports increased self-improvement capabilities in its products.

With the release of the iPhone 16 repair guide last September, users can now order various parts directly from Apple. The battery, as one of the most common replacement components, sells for 99 US dollars (Rp1.5 million) for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, as well as 119 US dollars (Rp1.8 million) for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max. The rear camera is available for 169 or 249 US dollars, depending on the model, while the replacement screen is priced from 279 to 379 US dollars.
