JAKARTA - When it was first introduced and launched at the Worldwide Developers Conference last June, Apple continued development for Apple Intelligence.

Launching Engadget, the latest Apple Intelligence developments on iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, and macOS Sequoia (15.2) present new, long-awaited features such as Genmoji, Image Playground, Visual Intelligence, and ChatGPT integration.

This news comes after the announcement that iOS 18.1 will be available as a stable release to the public next week, which will feature many new features for users.

Genmoji

Genmoji will allow users to create custom emojis from a keyboard. By tapping the Genmoji button, you can enter the description and select from the options generated by Apple Intelligence.

Image Playground

Image Playground and Image Wander features are also now available. Image Playground is an independent app that can be accessed from Messages, offers image suggestions based on conversation, or you can use descriptions or photos as a reference.

Meanwhile, Image Wand comes as an update to the Apple Pencil tool palette, which helps refine rough sketches into finer artwork.

ChatGPT Integration

Finally, Apple also brings ChatGPT to Siri and Writing Tools, and will recommend using OpenAI tools if they match demand, such as making travel plans or routines.

Siri will ask for permission to use ChatGPT, and you can set the frequency of the permit request.

Keep in mind that you don't need a ChatGPT account, and your data isn't saved by OpenAI unless you connect a ChatGPT account, which then submits to OpenAI policy.
