The popularity of meme coins in the realm of cryptocurrencies continues to increase significantly. Meme coins are a particular attraction for users who are not so deep into the crypto world. Based on a recent survey conducted by Rasmr, a leading crypto figure, revealed that MOODENG is the most popular meme coin today.

This survey involved respondents from among general users or commonly called "normies" who were asked to choose their favorite meme coin. As a result, MOODENG was ranked first, followed by BILLY, GIGA, SIGNA, and MICHI in the top five.

This phenomenon shows that meme coins, which often get attention because they are viral on the internet, seem to have great potential in attracting wider mass interest. In the list of the top 20 most-chosen meme coins, several other names that appear include Popcat, FWOG, GOAT, LOCKIN, Pepe, Trump, and WIF.

The meme coin is not only a topic discussed, but has also experienced a significant spike in value. This goes hand in hand with Bitcoin price stability which remains strong despite being affected by various factors, such as political tensions in the Middle East and economic policy from the United States Federal Reserve. Over the past eight months, Bitcoin has remained trading in the price range between US$50,000 to US$69,000 (around Rp775 million to Rp1.07 billion), creating a stable environment for the growth of other coins.

It doesn't stop there, even a number of meme coins have even recorded extraordinary profits, with some of them surging up to 1000 times in a matter of days. This condition makes meme coins even more attractive to retail investors who are looking for high profit opportunities in a short time.

One of the factors driving the rapid growth of meme coins is the ease of creating them. Various platforms, such as Pump.fun and Ape Pro, allow users to create and launch meme coins on Solana's network, known for low transaction fees. Solana's reputation as a "blockchain of meme coins" has attracted many investors, making a number of meme coins reach a significant market cap and even fall into the top 100 coins with the highest market capitalization.
