Huawei And XL Axiata Launch Core Network With High Bandwidth

JAKARTA - Huawei and XL Axiata are in the latest collaboration by launching a fully-convergence core network. This network was created to support 2G, 4G services, as well as 5G NSA and SA.

Through this partnership, XL Axiata will offer a smooth service with very low latency for its users. This new infrastructure was created to encourage digital transformation in various industries, including manufacturing, governance, and others.

The architecture of this network can provide the best performance in handling traffic demand which is expected to increase in the Jakarta area. This core network will support XL Axiata's goals in the consumer (toC) and business (toB) segments.

XL Axiata Chief Technology Officer (CTO), I Gede Darmayusa, said that this collaboration is a solid step to advance the 5G network. Not only supporting the most recent connectivity network, this core network also provides the best support for 4G users.

"This network not only supports 5G, but also continues to improve the experience for our 4G users. Through cooperation with Huawei, we are committed to encouraging innovation and contributing to Indonesia's digital transformation," said Darmayusa.

Meanwhile, Huawei Indonesia's Carrier Network Business Group (CNBG) Director Kevin Zhou revealed that this is not the first collaboration between Huawei and XL Axiata. By collaborating on the core network, Huawei believes both can provide the best connectivity experience.

"Huawei is honored to be able to continue successful collaboration with XL Axiata. As a global ICT leader, we believe that our fully converged core network will provide world-class experience for XL Axiata customers," Kevin said.
