JAKARTA - GoPay, a Financial Technology business unit from PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) collaborated with the legendary Indonesian musician, Rhoma Irama, to invite the public to fight online gambling through the 'Judi Pasti Rugi' initiative.

Ade Mulya, Chief Public Policy and Government Relations GoTo explained that this initiative is here to create a healthy and safe digital financial ecosystem, especially from the dangers of online gambling.

The reason Rhoma Irama was chosen as GoPay's partner was because according to Ade, his song entitled 'Judi' is still relevant about the bad effects of online gambling which has claimed many victims and is detrimental to the community.

"When I made the lyrics of the song 'Judi', I really thought deeply about every word that I would put into the lyrics to make it easy to digest and remember. The loss of gambling is true and can be seen in real terms," said Rhoma.

Continuing efforts to eradicate online gambling, GoPay has also launched the gambling Pastirugi.com website as well as pages to learn the dangers of special online gambling in the GoPay application which can be accessed by the entire community.

Through this website, the public can contribute directly to reporting suspicious actions indicated online gambling, as well as sharing stories of losses experienced because they are entangled in online gambling.

After receiving the complaint, GoPay will then carry out the initial validation process and forward the report to the relevant regulator to be followed up, by continuing to maintain the confidentiality of reporting. As a Payment Services Provider (PJP) regulated and supervised by Bank Indonesia, GoPay is committed to preventing suspicious transactions.
