Get A Warning From Kominfo About Facilitation Of Online Gambling, Here's The Response Of FUNDS!

Responding to the warning from the Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi to five e-wallets that facilitate online gamblers, DANA Indonesia used the reprimand as a reflection.

"The amount of value seen from our PPATK report that was reported is a reflection of our commitment as one of the largest e-wallet platforms in Indonesia," said Head of Communications DANA Indonesia, Sharon Issabella in a statement received by VOI on Friday, October 11.

Nevertheless, DANA ensured that in the reporting process, the digital wallet company had complied with all relevant regulations, including personal data protection (PDP).

In addition, DANA also reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining the security and integrity of the digital financial ecosystem in Indonesia, by reporting suspicious transactions actively and periodically, including indications of online gambling activities, to relevant regulators, namely PPATK.

"However, we also fully understand that eradicating illegal activities such as online gambling requires collective efforts from all parties concerned," continued Sharon.

THE DANA also mentions several other efforts to ensure the safety of services and users, including the launch of various features such as Smart Friction, which detect suspicious transactions before they occur.

There is also a Scam Checker feature to check suspicious numbers in collaboration with Kominfo, as well as Online Alert and Online Tipu Education features to raise user awareness regarding online gambling risks and other illegal activities.

In fact, they admitted that they continue to coordinate closely with regulators and the government, including Bank Indonesia, PPATK, and Kominfo, to jointly eradicate online gambling.
