JAKARTA Zoom, a video conferencing platform, introduced the latest artificial intelligence (AI) innovations for Zoom Workplace and Zoom Business Services services. This innovation was announced at the Zoomtopia 2024 event.

By bringing more AI technology to its platform, Zoom wants to support employees in communicating, collaborating, and interacting with customers. Later, users of these two services can focus more on their work.

Zoom Founder and CEO Eric S. Yuan said that Zoom is trying to revolutionize the way users communicate. Through the launch of this latest AI feature, Zoom wants to support its customers in transforming the digitalization era.

"We are not only rearranging the way of communicating but also revolutionizing the entire work process. We have a vision to create a work platform that prioritizes AI to create human relations that encourage the team," said Yuan.

There are several features that Zoom announced during the Zoomtopia event. On the Zoom Workplace service, the platform will feature Zoom Tasks to detect and complete work, Zoom Phone to summarize calls in real-time, as well as Zoom Phone voicemail makers based on user voice.

Meanwhile, Zoom will present three new features for the Zoom Business Services service. All three features are Zoom Virtual Agents in the form of chatbot self-services, Auto Quality Management to automatically assess agent performance, and AI Expert Assist to analyze conversation content.

In addition to updating the two services, Zoom is also improving the quality of its AI by releasing AI Companion 2.0. This AI-based assistant will get many updates such as a new interface (UI) and a better contextual understanding.

This assistant is also getting better with the ability to summarize materials on Workplace as well as connected third-party platforms and the ability to find information on the web in real-time. All the latest features for AI Companion 2.0 will be available in the coming weeks.
