PDNS 2 Service Completely Recovers, Kominfo Prepares Strategy To Prevent Repeat Attacks

After the ransomware attack that hit the Temporary National Data Center (PDNS) 2, Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Nezar Patria said that all priority public services had recovered 100 percent.

"A total of 42 priority public services have recovered 100 percent on August 25 and until September 21, 73 percent of the 2,120 services have recovered or 1,560 services have recovered," Nezar said at the Commission I Working Meeting of the DPR with the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Monday, September 23.

As for the recovery of KLD services or the Ministry/Institution of PDNS users, the decryption process of 6,413 virtual machines (VM) which is estimated to take 209 days, has been accelerated with BSSN so that it is completed on August 13.
