Palo Alto Networks Acquires IBM's SaaS QRadar Assets

JAKARTA Palo Alto Networks announced that the acquisition process of a number of IBM QRadar's Software as a Service (SaaS) assets has been completed. Now, Palo Alto can better prevent security threats.

Through this partnership, Palo Alto and IBM are committed to improving customer security. Both will provide the best security precautions in class through a complete platform approach to tackle the growing surface attack.

These two companies will help global customers in various industrial sectors to switch from QRadar to Cortex XSIM, a precision AI-backed platform made by Palo Alto. The platform focuses data and security operations capabilities such as SIEM, SOAR, ASM, and XDR on one platform.

In addition to collaborating on the platform's transition, this partnership allows IBM to use the Palo Alto security platform for internal needs. IBM also uses the XSIAM Cortex for advanced operations, along with the use of the SASE 3.0 Prisma.

Palo Alto does the same. They implemented several IBM solutions such as the use of AI watsonx and data platforms. The use of this platform is done to encourage Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities and other automation.

Meanwhile, Principal Cybersecurity Analyst Enterprise Strategy Group Dave Ulama said that Palo Alto provides ready-to-use cybersecurity services and out-of-the-box services. My brother believes that Palo Alto's technology can be problematic in managing different sets of security technologies.
