Xiaomi Launches Power Bank With A Double-functioned Integrated Cable As A Hanging Rope

JAKARTA - On September 6, 2024, Xiaomi introduced the latest product in China, namely Powerbank 10000 33W. Although its name shows a capacity of 10,000mAh, in fact this power bank has a capacity of 5,500mAh with 33W charging support.

This little "trick" naming trend is not the first time Xiaomi has done it. Previously, they launched a Power Bank 25000 212W which turned out to only have a battery capacity of 14,000mAh, far from the 25,000mAh figure mentioned in its name.

The main feature of this power bank is an integrated cable that can be tucked into a special slot when not used, while functioning as a hanging rope. This design is very practical for those who often lose cables. However, the weakness of this integrated cable is if it breaks or breaks, users cannot replace it.

In addition, this power bank is equipped with an additional USB-C port with a maximum output of 22.5W and smart power distribution support when charging multiple devices at once. However, if a USB-C main port is damaged, users will only have this one port for charging.

It is still unclear whether these additional USB-C ports can be used to charge the power bank. If not, and the main cable is damaged, this power bank could become unusable at all.

This power bank supports charging up to 33W, which can charge Xiaomi 14 Pro to 51% in just 30 minutes. Xiaomi also added some additional features, such as low current mode to charge the device with low power and support for general fast charging protocols such as PD 3.0 and QC 3.0.

The design is compact and light, with a size of 3.2 x 2.6 x 1.0 inches, making it easy to carry. Users can choose between the elegant Deep Space Blue color or the calmer Light Brown to adjust their style. The POWERbank 10000 33W sells for 149 yuan (Rp 325 thousand).
