JAKARTA Huawei held the OptiX Club 2024 event, an annual platform for exchanging technical experiences in the optical fiber industry, on Thursday, August 29. The theme used is still the same as the previous year.

Carrying the theme around optical connectivity and digital sustainability, namely F5.5G Advanced, the Foundation of Industrial Intelligence, Huawei introduces various innovative solutions that are considered to support digital transformation.

Jeffrey Chen, Director of Huawei Asia Pacific Region Optical, said that industrial intelligence has created new trends within the fiber optics industry. One of the technologies that pave the way is F5.5G Advanced (F5.5G-A).

There are three main trends that have emerged in the fiber optics industry thanks to increasingly intelligent industrial transformation. The three trends are Fiber-in Copper-out, fgoTN-in SDH-out, and Optical-Sensing-in Hard-Work-out.

Of all these trends, Huawei introduces three innovative solutions based on each need. For medium and large-scale campus networks, Huawei offers FTTO 2.0 solutions that match various major sectors.

This network can be used in the education, health, hospitality, and manufacturing sectors. Huawei developed this network with XGS-PON Pro and Wi-Fi 7 technology that can improve bandwidth, network, experience, and O&M to 12.5/25G for indoor connections and 2.5/10G for connections to access points (AP).

Next, there is the OptiXtrans E6600 which is the first optical transmission product to support the OTN (fGOTN) gain standard. This product can make it easier for customers to build reliable communication networks in today's intelligence era.

Finally, there is an OptiXtrans DC908 Pro solution. This solution is the latest generation Data Center Interconnect (DCI) platform that Huawei is developing. This solution supports Tbps per wavelength which can ensure service transmission is efficient and secure.
