Honor Magic V3 Foldable Flagship Will Debut Global On IFA This September

JAKARTA - After experiencing delays in launching the Honor Magic V2 in Europe, which was originally launched in July 2023 but only reached the European market at the end of January 2024, Honor is now committed to accelerating the launch of its successor, the Honor Magic V3. This device will debut at IFA 2024 in September.

Honor is expected to showcase three main devices at the IFA event, namely Honor Magic V3, Honor MagicPad 2, and Honor MagicBook Art 14 2024. The launch event will take place on September 5, just before IFA 2024 officially begins.

Honor Magic V3 stands out in the foldable phone market because of its very slim design. This device has a thickness of only 9.2mm and a weight of 226g, which makes it comparable to standard phones such as the Galaxy S24 Ultra (8.6mm, 232g) and the iPhone 15 Pro Max (8.3mm, 221g). In contrast, foldable devices such as the Galaxy Z Fold6 (12.1mm, 239g) and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold (10.5mm, 257g) are thicker and heavier.

Despite having a slim profile, Magic V3 comes with powerful hardware, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a large 5,150mAh battery. In addition, this device is equipped with an impressive camera system, with a 50MP main sensor, a 3.5x 50MP periscope lens, and a 40MP ultra-wide lens.

However, this premium feature of Honor Magic V3 shows that the price is likely to be high, following the price trend of its predecessor, Honor Magic V2, which is priced at around 2,000 euros (Rp34.4 million). There is no official news yet whether more affordable Magic Vs3 will also be available globally.

In addition to Magic V3, Honor will also introduce Honor MagicPad 2 and Honor MagicBook Art 14 2024. MagicPad 2 offers a 12.3-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 144Hz and an IMAX Enhanced certification. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, equipped with eight speakers, and a 10.050mAh battery with 66W fast charging.

The Honor MagicBook Art 14 2024 is also a device to watch out for. This laptop has a slim and lightweight design of 12.95mm thickness and 1.03kg weight. Equipped with a 14.6-inch OLED display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a removable webcam module. This laptop can be configured with an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H or Ultra 7 155H processor, Intel Arc graphics, RAM up to 32GB, and 1TB storage.
