JAKARTA-WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will bring more color and personalization into the user's chat. This feature, called the chat theme, is currently available in the latest beta updates for Android and iOS users.

According to a report from WaBetaInfo, in the latest beta versions of WhatsApp for Android (version 2.24.17.19) and iOS (version 24.11.10.70), users will be able to select the default chat theme that can be applied automatically to all conversations. This feature is different from the implementation of chat themes on Instagram and Messenger, where users can choose certain themes for each chat.

Although WhatsApp has previously allowed users to select chat backgrounds and switch between bright and dark modes, the color of the text bubble remains unchanged. However, with this new chat theme feature, WhatsApp will provide an option for users to replace both wallpaper and text bubble colors, similar to those already available on Instagram and Messenger.

Although the chat theme to be released is still kept secret and there has been no leaked image, it is clear that WhatsApp is preparing to provide a more attractive and colorful touch in user conversations. This feature is expected to be available to all WhatsApp users on various devices in the near future
