Resign As Director General Of IKP Kominfo, Usman Hopes Kominfo Quickly Find A Replacement

JAKARTA - Following Samuel Abrijani Pangerapan's resignation as Director General of Informatics Applications (Aptica) in early July, Usman Kansong announced his resignation from his position as Director General of Information and Public Communication (IKP), Ministry of Communication and Information.

Usman admitted that he had submitted his resignation letter to the Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi as of August 13, which was directly approved by the Minister of Communication and Information.

However, Usman admitted that this decision was not a sudden decision. He also hopes that the Ministry of Communications and Informatics will quickly announce a replacement (Plt) for the seat of the Director General of IKP.

"Hopefully in the near future there will be new definitive officials who will complete all the work together with the president director and secretary general of the IKP within the next two and a half months," said Usman on Thursday, August 14 at the Kominfo office, Jakarta.

According to Usman, there is a lot of homework (PR) that must be done at the Directorate of Information and Public Communication of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, one of which is public communication to commemorate the 79th Indonesian Independence Day at IKN and Jakarta.

Then we also have the task of the High Level Forum and Indonesia Africa Forum. That's September 1 to 3, not long after. After that there was the arrival of Pope Francis," continued Usman.

After the presence of the Pope on September 3, followed by the International Sustainability Forum (ISF) and PON (National Sports Week) held in Medan and Aceh.

"Then after the PON, after the PON it was the Pilkada. And there was also the Peparnas (National Paralympic Week 2024). So our job is a marathon," he said.
