JAKARTA - Google is again holding the ninth Made by Google event. In this event, Google officially introduced its newest cellphone, namely the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL.

For the first time, the Pro model comes in two different sizes, the Pixel 9 Pro with a 6.3-inch screen, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL is 6.8-inch. However, both have a Super Actua screen and a 42 MP front camera.

Accompanied, in addition to different screen sizes, all other capabilities including charging, and power speeds, the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL have all the same specifications and features.

Designed with a new chip

Pixel 9 phones powered by Tensor G4, the latest chip from Google DeepMind designed to increase daily use cases, such as opening apps faster or browsing the web.

To ensure the AI-powered experience on your device runs smoothly, Google has improved memory across the Pixel 9 family, with 12 GB of RAM for Pixel 9 and 16 GB for Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL.

AI support feature

The Gemini Live feature, which allows you to have free conversations with Gemini directly from your phone or Pixel Buds, will also be available to all Gemini Advanced subscribers, including owners of the Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Furthermore, this new phone will be supported by Pixel Studio, a Google image generator that can realize all the ideas from scratch, directly on your phone.

There are also Pixel Screenshots, exclusive apps for Pixel 9, which help you store, set, and remember important information you want to remember to use later.

To see the weather forecast better, Google brings the AI-powered Pixel Weather app, which can estimate the weather very accurately. And Gemini Nano will make a special AI weather report to give you an overview of the weather that day.

As for camera performance, Google has also added an AI feature to help you improve your shot from taking everyone in group photos to recording videos with zoom in.

Google's newest Pixel 9 device is the first Android phone to include a new SOS Satellite, so you can contact emergency respondents via satellite and share your location, even without mobile services.

Lastly, there's a new Call Note feature that will send you a personal summary and a full transcript of your phone call as soon as you hang up the phone.

Availability and Price

Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL phones are all available for pre-order today at prices ranging from 799 US dollars (IDR 12.6 million), 999 US dollars (IDR 15.8 million), and 1099 US dollars (IDR 17.4 million).

Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL will be available on the Google Store and our retail partners on August 22. The Pixel 9 Pro will be available in the US on September 4, along with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and will be available on other markets in the following weeks.
