CapCut Will Stop Offering Free Storage Space Starting August 5

CapCut, a video editing app from ByteDance announced that it will stop offering free cloud storage to accommodate creative assets starting August 5.

In recent days, some users have even received notifications about CapCut changing its terms for this free level.

The following changes in space storage and member limits will take place from August 5, 2024. Free storage will no longer be available," wrote the notification from user X @TheeQueenJay1.

However, the company says that you can still download projects and existing files, but you can't upload new ones or make changes.

To use all space features, you need to subscribe to a storage package. Later, the space will also be limited to 2 members by default.

Memberships will be reduced from 5 to 2, meaning you can only collaborate with 1 person in one room. To invite more members, you need to upgrade to Teams," the company added.

To date, the company has provided free cloud storage of 1 GB, and this will be removed soon.

CapCut offers packages for 2.49 US dollars (IDR 40 thousand) per month for 100GB storage and packages for 7.49 US dollars (IDR 121 thousand) per month for 1000GB of storage.
