JAKARTA Various updates that Google launched in the Find My Device app show positive results. Recently, the application to search for the lost device has reached 500 million downloads. The number of these downloads can be seen on the application page through the Google Play Store. Meanwhile, reviews from its application have reached 1.33 million comments with the same rating as the YouTube and Google Earth applications. Find My Device has been released since December 2013 or almost 11 years ago. The design of this application has not undergone many changes over the years until Google finally redesigned it early last year. This application still uses green and white palettes, but now users can switch to dark mode. Google has also changed the view of the Find My Device website, but there is no choice to use dark mode.

When opening the application or website, users will see a list of devices connected to your Google account. When one of the devices is clicked, you can view the location and status of the device such as battery capacity or network. Some devices that can be searched for using Find My Device are Android phones, Android tablets, Wear OS watches, Fast Pair headphones, and others. Users can also search for the device quickly by clicking the Play Voice menu. This feature is very useful if you lose goods in the area of the house. If the device you are looking for is lost at a long distance, you can click the Secure Device menu. This feature will immediately lock the device so that other people cannot use it.
