JAKARTA - PT Pasifik Satelit Nusantara (PSN), the first private satellite company in Indonesia in collaboration with Elena Geo Tech Pvt Ltd, in developing the Indonesian satellite's Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) system.

The collaboration between PSN and Elena was realized in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding at India Space New Congress in New Delhi, India.

"With a long track record and seeing that there is still great potential that can be maximized from the satellite industry, PSN is expanding strategically by entering the navigation field," said PSN Technology Director, Satrio Adiwicaksono.

Through collaboration with Elena, Satrio said that PSN continues to spur itself to strengthen the space sector ecosystem by building manufacturing capabilities in the Indonesian satellite industry, one of which is satellite-based Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT).

"Through this momentum, we will also maximize the transfer of technology so that in the future Indonesia can produce its own satellite-based Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) system," said PSN President Director Adi Rahman Adiwoso.

With the development of a satellite navigation system with Elena, it will be aimed at the transportation, air and sea navigation and defense sectors.

By applying satellite navigation in Indonesia, all sectors that need and use PNT will find it easy to accurately determine position, speed, direction, and timeliness so as to create high accuracy and efficiency.
