JAKARTA - Hackers disrupted an online Euro 2024 match broadcast between Poland and Austria on Friday, June 22 according to Polish state broadcaster TVP. This is the second cyberattack targeting a Polish football team during the European Cup.
According to TVP, in the initial inspections it showed that hackers launched a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack that flooded servers with a huge amount of traffic - thus preventing fans from watching the Group D match broadcast.
A similar attack also hit Poland's match online broadcast against the Netherlands on Sunday 16 June.
