The European Commission Requests Information On Child Protection From Pornhub, Xvideos, And Stripchat Platforms

JAKARTA - The European Commission has asked internet platform Pornhub, Xvideos, and Stripchat to explain what steps they take to protect children and prevent the spread of illegal content online.

"They must provide detailed information about the steps they have taken to assess and reduce the risk to children online and prevent the amplification of illegal content and gender-based violence on July 4", the Commission said on Thursday, June 13.

"The Commission also asked for details on the age guarantee mechanism adopted by this pornographic platform," he added.

The European Union last year added three content companies today to the list of companies that must comply with strict regulations under the new online content rules.

Rules under the Digital Services Act (DSA) require companies to share data with authorities and researchers, conduct risk management, and undergo external and independent audits. They also allow the Commission to impose fines for improper, incomplete, or misleading information requests.
