JAKARTA - Over the past few years, the digital sector in Indonesia has continued to record improvements. The stakeholders also continue to support this progress through the development of digital infrastructure to digital literacy programs.
Based on an e-Conomy SEA Report 2023 report released by Google, the gross merchandise value (GMV) of Indonesia's digital economy is projected to grow to 109 billion US dollars by 2025 and reach 360 billion US dollars by 2030.
Apart from that, Indonesia needs to be prepared to be able to work on this potential. Given the large number of provinces and geographical differences in Indonesia, which are a challenge in itself.
Therefore, mapping digital competitiveness is needed to determine the condition of digital development in each province, so that we can improve and design policies and programs that can support digital progress in Indonesia.
Responding to this, East Ventures routinely conducts digital competitiveness mapping in Indonesia. This mapping is stated in the form of a report called East Ventures Digital Competitiveness Index (EV-DCI) which has been presented for the last four years.
East Ventures also believes that every stakeholder has a role to play in creating equitable digital justice for all regions in Indonesia.
