JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Communication and Information, Nezar Patria, encourages every country to prepare digital talents with three main competencies or digital triatets, namely strategic digital, digital innovator and digital driver.

This is because it is intended to solve the problem of the digital skills gap, because by 2025, the world is estimated to need 149 million workers with digital skills to balance the rate of digital transformation.

"The world is predicted to face a shortage of global digital skills, with more than 60 percent of recruitment managers worldwide reporting difficulties in finding quality digital talent," he said, on Tuesday, May 14.

Nezar also considered that skills are needed to pursue digital transformation. Therefore, digital skills training is needed, and it is not excessive if many world leaders are trying to prepare human resources who have the skills and competencies needed.

"The top profession in the next five years will require high digital competence, such as AI Specialists and Machine Learning, Robotics Engineers, and Database Architects. Currently, the government's challenges are related to efforts to maintain existing digital talent," he said.

According to him, if this challenge is not resolved, there will be 85 million jobs that will not be filled by 2030. Therefore, the implementation of the workshop is very relevant to providing input and suggestions in the development of digital transformation.

Currently, Indonesia itself has a Digital Vision of Indonesia 2045 as one of the holistic alternative roadmaps in developing the strategies needed to accelerate national digital transformation.
