JAKARTA - Threads has re-launched a new security feature, which now allows users to limit who can quote their posts.

"The ability to limit who can quote your Thread posts is now available to everyone," Instagram Chief Adam Mosseri said in a post on his Threads account quoted on Sunday, May 5.

With this update, you'll be able to see an option to allow quotes from everyone in Threads, only people you follow, or completely disable citation posts.

Mosseri also said that the launch of the restriction on quoting Threads posts is expected to make Meta's new social media more positive than the previous one.

"I hope this will help keep Threads a more positive place and give people more control over their experiences," Mosseri concluded.

Threads continues to improve the ability of its social networking platform to compete with X.

At the end of March, Threads even started rolling out bonus programs in a limited time to some users.

However, the revenue program is still being launched limited to content creators in the US alone.

The company said it might expand the program to other regions if successful.
