JAKARTA - Telkomsel's Board of Directors met directly with Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella on Tuesday, April 30, in discussing its potential Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact on digital transformation.

During the meeting, Telkomsel emphasized its commitment to implementing the latest technology services for the community, as well as Microsoft's commitment to supporting the empowerment of the Indonesian people to achieve a brighter future.

"This one-on-one session certainly opens up more opportunities and insight, which we hope will later be integrated into Telkomsel's connectivity, solutions, and services which are always intended to empower the community through technology," said Telkomsel's President Director, Nugroho, quoted Friday, May 3.

In 2023, Telkomsel has made innovations with Microsoft in utilizing Microsoft Azure-Open AI to provide more responsive, empathic, and efficient customer service through the implementation of Veronika Virtual Assistant.

In addition to helping strengthen interaction and deliver product knowledge more quickly for customers, Veronika with Microsoft's Gen AI technology also supports the effectiveness of Telkomsel's customer service agency and reduces the company's conventional automation burden.

In the future, Telkomsel and Microsoft will continue to collaborate in presenting various solutions that can improve customer digital lifestyle experience to support Indonesia's digital progress and community empowerment through technology.
