Google Launches Google AI Essentials, New AI Course On Coursera

JAKARTA - AI has not only changed the way people run their business, but also the way we work. Google says that, globally, job vacancies involving AI will increase dramatically to 21 times in 2023.

To that end, Google announced the launch of AI Essentials, a new Google course aimed at helping more people gain AI skills for the future.

Google is committed to ensuring everyone can take advantage of AI, and we believe that the first step to take is skill building," wrote Scott Beaumont, President of Asia Pacific, Google in its announcement.

Google AI Essentials is Google's new independent online course, which is also managed by AI experts from Google itself.

Interestingly, this course does not require participants to have an AI experience. So that through this course, people will learn to use a generating AI tool to find ideas and accelerate their daily work assignments.

They can also learn to write effective commands and use AI responsibly by recognizing potential AI biases, added Beaumont.

Google AI Essentials is available globally in Coursera in English, while other languages will soon follow in the future.
