Google Messages Will Present Message Restriction Features In Parental Control

JAKARTA Google Messages, a messaging service with standard Rich Communication Services (RCS), will present a new feature in parental control. This feature can limit users from sending messages. Currently, Google Messages is a default application on multiple devices so users can send messages without the need to buy credit. Increasing use of Google Messages makes Google strengthen its security. Quoting from Piunikaweb, Google Messages version v20240416_00_RC01 will bring parental controls that can block the ability to send messages. Every time you want to send messages, your children must get parental permission. When messages are not approved by those who activate the parental control feature, Google Messages will display messages that read, "To send, ask for approval of your people." This message will disappear once approved. Although the message restriction feature has been revealed, it is not yet known how this feature works. Most likely, this feature will serve for message delivery per contact and parents can control its features through the Family Link application.

The display of the feature is also not perfect because it is still in the early stages of development. To find out the original function and how the feature works, we have to wait until the feature is rolled out widely to the public. Some time ago, Google announced the Selfie GIF feature on Google's Help Center page. This feature can send a three-second selfie into the chat, but in a GIF format that looks like a very short video. This feature has been rolled out to Google Messages, but only to a few users. Therefore, many beta and public users have not seen its features. Most likely, the Selfie GIF will be widely available in the near future.
