JAKARTA - Meta has started rolling out new filtering features on WhatsApp, to make it easier for users to access all types of messages, including all unreaded messages.

Announced by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on its official channel on WhatsApp, this feature will filter messages in three categories, namely All, Unread, and also Groups.

As the name suggests, the All category will bring up all messages on your WhatsApp. Then Unread, will only bring up unreaded messages. Meanwhile, Groups, only brings up messages from your WhatsApp groups.

Launch chat filters on WhatsApp so you can find important messages quickly, Zuck wrote in its announcement.

If you are a Gmail user, maybe the feature looks very familiar, because Google's email service also introduced a similar feature in 2020 to make it easier to search messages.

The tech giant said that the filter option on WhatsApp will be rolled out to users starting today and will be available to all users within weeks. So let's wait until this feature becomes available soon.
