JAKARTA - Google is rolling out April updates for ChromeOS users with features such as the ability to customize keyboard shortcuts and mouse button actions. This update also brings up text-to-offline voice support. ChromeOS M123 updates will be distributed to users in the next few days.

A new key feature is a way to establish custom keyboard shortcuts for certain actions. This is a feature that is already available on other desktop systems.

However, users need to activate this feature manually by activating a flag setting called enable-shortcut-customization. The company says that keyboard customization shortcuts will be enabled by default with the next ChromeOS update, M124.

With the ChromeOS M123 update, users can set custom keyboard shortcuts according to their use.

In addition, with this update, Google also allows users to customize the mouse button action. If you have a mouse with more than two buttons, you can set it for assignments such as taking screenshots, turning off sound, turning on sound, and inserting emojis.

In addition, you can set a combination of buttons dedicated to actions performed by keyboard shortcuts.

ChromeOS M123 update also has some small improvements such as the ability to change the language you like per Android app via Settings > App > Manage your app > App language; and enhanced text-to-speech features with sound that should sound more natural. It supports 31 languages and works when you are offline.
