The feature that is being submitted in this patent application is claimed to be able to help people who sink while swimming or diving. Based on report 9to5mac, Apple's patent application explains that its wearable device can detect unnatural behavior. When the system realizes its users are drowning, this device will ask for help automatically.This aid signal will be sent to other devices, both friends and family around the swimming pool. This emergency SOS feature will also interact with the detection system or alarm sinking if possible. Apple has special reasons for developing this latest emergency SOS feature. They stated that more than 3,500 people in the United States die every year due to drowning. In fact, drowning is a common accident on the fifth order.

When a person sinks, a quick response is urgently needed. Within 4 to 6 minutes, a drowning person must get resuscitation. Otherwise, brain damage will occur and the person will die in the water. Seeing how critical this danger is, Apple is trying to create a solution that can save swimmers or divers. According to Apple, its emergency SOS feature is a simple and cost-effective prevention system. So far, Apple Watch can detect and respond to its users who fall, are hit, or have a heart problem.
