JAKARTA - Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that Threads is testing a new capability, which allows users to like or hide a post.

"The new thing we're testing: slide it down to like or let us know that you're not interested in posts," Zuck wrote in an announcement in a Threads post on Thursday, March 21.

He also said that this new Threads capability is an easy way to tell the company what posts you want to see more on your feed.

So, with this trial, some people can now shift to the right on posts to like it, or shift to the left to show that they are not interested.

"I hope this makes it easier for you to show if a post is relevant to your interests. Let me know what you're thinking," said Instagram Head Adam Mosseri in a separate post.

Previously, Threads had also launched the Trending Now feature in the United States. This feature will display any keywords that are being discussed in real-time.

Just like the Trending Now display on platform X, formerly known as Twitter, this feature can be seen on the search page, precisely under the search box. This trending topic will be compiled with serial numbers next to it.
