JAKARTA FuboTV, streaming television service, suedDisney, Fox, and Warner Bros Discovery on charges of monopolizing the market. According to FuboTV, the three companies deliberately hampered the company's business.

The lawsuit comes after Disney ESPN, Fox, and Warner Bros. announced that they will launch a sports streaming service this fall. This new service will be combined with Disney+, Hulu, and Max services.

Fubo stated that the three companies had stolen the company's guidelines. In addition, services made by the three companies are claimed to have destroyed market competition and caused price inflation for consumers.

In a lawsuit filed by Fubo, it was recorded that Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros. offered an unfair bundling or package that forced Fubo to offer customers more expensive services.

"The defendant has limited Fubo in offering attractive streaming products that consumers may want, although similar products are also offered by other paid and traditional streaming services, including the Defendant's Hulu service," Fubo said in a press release.

Fubo CEO David Gandler said that the three companies were consensibly involved in anti-competitive practices to monopolize the market. The three companies are claimed to have hampered competition at higher prices.

"By joining together to exclusively be entitled to distribute special direct sports packages, we believe these companies are building intractable barriers that will effectively prevent new competitors from entering the market," said Gandler.

Gandler added that Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros. challenged Fubo's business for years on various occasions. All three also hindered new competitors who wanted to enter the market, but Fubo decided to fight back.

"The unexpected practices of defendants have had an impact on our ability to develop and make consumers lose attractive products and at competitive prices," Gandler explained.
