Platform X CEO Emphasizes Urgency On Online Dangers For Children

JAKARTA The US Senate Judiciary Committee held an Online Children's Sexual Exploitation Crisis session on Thursday, February 1. The trial presented many social media leaders, one of which was platform X.

After the trial, X CEO Linda Yaccarino said that she had listened to stories from parents, family, and young people related to bad online experiences. This made Yaccarino even more strengthened X's commitment.

According to Yaccarino, the session held by the US Senate is a warning that online hazards for children are an urgency. Therefore, X will further increase their efforts in presenting a safe internet.

Yesterday's trial should be a warning to all of us and now is the time for us to act with urgency. We must all be fully involved in this social issue to eradicate online danger to children," Yaccarino said on Friday, February 2.

Actually, X is not a social media that is widely used by children. However, the company still has to prioritize safety for children. The absolute number (users) is irrelevant when it comes to protection, safety and well-being," Yacariano said.

No matter how many young people use platform X, these children will get priority in terms of safety. X strives to ensure the safety of children on their platform, both online and offline.

In line with the urgency that Yaccarino mentioned, X supports various policies that can help victims of sexual exploitation. Platform X is also very supportive if the perpetrators are strictly punished by a court decision.

"X supports SHIELD Law, Report Law, Stop CSAM Law, Project Safe Childhood Law, and will help advance the Child Online Security Law while maintaining free speech for all groups," said Yaccarino.
