JAKARTA - Guybrator, a black and thick sex toy, similar to Darthmen's, specifically for this man has now sold as many as two million units and is available on each continent. Originally introduced at a trade show in Las Vegas, the founder himself was on guard at the one-person booth, wondering if anyone would buy the product.

This toy, sold for $100, known as 'Pulse', has changed lives for those with spinal cord injuries and men who have undergone prostate cancer surgery, allowing some of their first orgasms in decades.

The eccentric founder, Adam Lewis, has a long obsession in creating sex toys for men. Even since he was young when he experimented with sexually vacuum cleaners, "Many people don't realize how scientific the sex toy industry is today," Lewis was quoted as saying by VOI from DailyMail.com.

"Basically it's about sexual health; it's no longer a dark industry behind buildings. It's also very sophisticated: we had waterproof devices long before the mobile phone industry did," he said.

The Pulse vibrator works by providing highly targeted oscillations (slower and larger vibrations) on the frenulum on the penis or 'bridge' of the network that connects the penis's head with the skin.

The product is adapted from a medical device used to allow men to have children after a spinal cord injury, and Lewis aims to create a consumer version.

In the first six months, they got a big reaction from the therapy room, but it wasn't their initial target at all. Many people with medical problems view this product as a "life change".

It can be used when the penis is not erect, making it a revolutionary device for men who have undergone prostate cancer surgery and have erectile dysfunction as a side effect.

Lewis, from England, sparked the idea of his 'guybrator' more than ten years ago when he woke up after a party at home - and got up at 3 a.m. to write down a business plan.

"I've always wanted to have my own business, whatever it is," he said. "I want to be the host of my own destiny."

At the time, the idea sounded "ridiculous," as the sex toy industry focused heavily on women at the time. However, he added, "All the ideas sound ridiculous, until you try them and prove they're not ridiculous," he said.

Product development is more difficult than Lewis anticipated, taking more than three years. "When the product is ready to launch, everyone is familiar with us enough, and when we launch, we can do it very quickly, we've been talking to retailers for years," he said.

The company has now created a 'Duo' version for couples, where both partners can feel the vibration. "This brings intimacy and the ability to make love, again, into a relationship where men can't get an erection and think that such intimacy and mutual pleasure are gone for them," he said.
