Twitch Updates Nudity Policy On Its Platform, What Changes?

JAKARTA - Twitch's live streaming platform updated its community policy governing nudity in apps, in response to streamers using black sensors to block their body parts.

With the updates taking effect today, streamers are also prohibited from wearing see-through clothes, and make it clear that clothes must be completely opaque in areas of the body that require cover, such as breasts, buttocks, and genitals.

"We don't allow visible genitals, even though they are closed. Broadcasting minors who are naked or half naked is always prohibited, regardless of context," he added.

Twitch also calls on female streamers to close their nipples and not show the lower part of the breasts. However, cleavage is not limited as long as streamers wear clothes.

Mainly, Twitch asks all streamers to cover areas ranging from hips to the lower side of the pelvis and buttocks.

While most streamers have labeled this content with Sexual Theme labels and wearing clothes behind objects or off camera frames, for many users, this content thumbnail could interfere with their experience on Twitch, "explained the company further.

Because according to them, although content labeled Sexual Theme is not displayed on the home page, this content is displayed in a category browsing directory.
