Square Enix Closes Dragon Quest Tact Service On February 29, 2024

JAKARTA - Not only closing services for MOBILE's Fullmetal Alchemist game on March 29, 2024, Square Enix also announced that it would stop the Dragon Quest Tact application service on February 29, 2024.

"We regret to announce that we have made a difficult decision to stop the Dragon Quest Tact application service starting at February 29, 2024 (PST)," the developer wrote in its official announcement, which was discovered by Gematsu.

For information, Dragon Quest Tact was first launched for iOS and Android on July 16, 2020 in Japan. The global version follows on January 27, 2021.

"However, we came to the conclusion that it would be difficult to continue to maintain the experience of the app, therefore we ended the app service," added Square Enix.

Furthermore, Square Enix also explained details in the game before the end of service. Where the sale of gems, selling of metal cards, and selling of in-game passports has ended when this announcement was made, namely on December 26.

However, events in previously scheduled games will continue to be updated until the end of the application service.

"Although we only have a little time left until the service ends on February 29, 2024, we hope you will continue to enjoy playing Dragon Quest Tact until the last day," the announcement concluded.
