Losing To The Philippines, Geek Fams Eliminated In M5 World Championships

JAKARTA - One of the representative esports teams from Indonesia, Geek Fams, was forced to stop his steps at the M5 World Championships event, after losing to the Philippine esports team Blacklist International.

Using the Best of Five (BO5) match system, Geek, who has been thrown into a lower bracket, after losing to AP Bren on December 12, has now been eliminated with a final score of 1-3.

Initially, in the first match, Geek managed to dominate the match. But unfortunately, in the second match the Blacklist team managed to make a Geek comeback, and won the match.

Likewise in the third and fourth games, Blacklist again dominated the match, and finally managed to win over Geek. Thus, Blacklist International will continue its steps, while Geek Fams is officially eliminated.

Nevertheless, on the other hand, Indonesia still has one representative who has succeeded in advancing to the top three of the M5 World Championships, namely Onic Esports along with AP Bren, which has also secured the top three positions.

The top bracket match between Onic and AP Bren will take place on Saturday, December 16 at 15.00 WIB. The winner of the match will advance to the Grand Finals and face one winning team in the lower bracket.

As for the Grand Final itself, it will take place the next day, namely December 17, using the Best of Seven (BO7) match system. All matches can be watched live through the Indonesian MPL YouTube channel or Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
